Yes, because when Romney fired those workers, he was saving their jobs. Oh, wait.

Also, for everyone who's bashing Obama's economic record: have you seen the past few months' job numbers?

The fact of the matter is that Obama has been a job creator. Whether there have been enough jobs created is certainly up for debate, but we have definitely seen job growth. We lost jobs for the first year of his presidency, but the recession, which began before he came into office, was still running its course. By the first few months of 2010 we were gaining jobs again and we have yet to have another month of job losses.

Romney can claim that Bain capital created jobs. But it's a weak claim as we know now that many people were laid off by the company in the process. Obama has a much easier time claiming that he has created jobs.

Well, Romney's pal Meg Whitman just announced 27,000 layoffs. Of course she probably still wants 500,000 new H-1B visas per year.

Remember when Obama made up all those numbers about "saving" jobs with stimulus spending??
Now, he attacks a guy who actually saved the jobs of failing businesses with private money.  You guys really think that is a brilliant plan ??

But Romney didn't save jobs, at least not all the time.

His 'success' rate of turning around a failing company was something like 75%.  So, every job at those 75% of companies was saved.  The companies that grew 'created' jobs.

Obama has tried to make the federal government into an investment capitol firm and his failure rate is huge (despite huge unfair advantages).  Check out the Solyndra style disasters.  Even if you wanted the feds to get in that business, wouldn't you want someone competent in charge?
