White type is far better then small type... small type is a pain in the ass. It also rarely hides funny remarks... two examples above show that :-PP

Except when it's white type at the end of a sentence, when unless the sentence is obviously cut off, it's really not that effective, since people may not even notice it's there, unlike small time, which is evident due to there actually being something. White type may be easier to read, but small type is easier to notice. See my point about the end of sentences?

Gray then...

Gray is immediately readable, however. Maybe define small type as anything less than 5pt?
