The Midwest does not have a functioning government. No one has posted in the Alþing in almost two months and there hasn't been a real election for "Prime Verin" since December.

In particular, the Midwest will be vulnerable to a lawsuit claiming violation of almost the entirety of Section IV of the Midwest constitution. Since the Supreme Court of Atlasia also serves as the highest judicial authority in the Midwest, I may decide to file a lawsuit there soon on behalf of the citizens of that region.

This is a startling failure of democratic governance. Is there any constitutional remedy here?

Maybe if certain individuals were moving to the Midwest instead of the IDS?

Affairs? What affairs? As far as I can tell, there aren't any, and haven't been any for months.

Ha, I was actually thinking that.

In all seriousness and in my opinion, the Alþing is the biggest problem for activity. Any plan to remedy these issues will start with its transformation.

Its pretty obvious that political homogeneity and lack of an elected legislature have done significant damage to each the Pacific and the Midwest. I also suggest these two factors are sustaining each other, so as Griffin said, a major overhaul of their systems should be in order.

Cue IDS declaring the Hawkeye government illegitimate and annexing Kiamichi Country in 3, 2, 1...
