Proud to have this as my 1000th post:

I suppose New York would be ideal as our largest state and capital's location.

Hi, Governor! Do we have numbers for how many people are at each income level, so as to determine the amount of income-tax revenue we'll get?

Mr. Shua! Step on it, if you please.

www.tax.ny.gov has all of the taxes right there. Here's individual tax rates:

<8K: 4%
8K-11K: 4.5% of excess over 8K + $320
11K-13K: 5.25% of excess over 11K + $455
13K-20K: 5.9% of excess over 13K + $560
20K-75K: 6.45% of excess over 20K + $973
75K-200K: 6.65% of excess over 75K + $4,521
200K-1M: 6.85% of excess over 200K + $12,833
>1M: 8.82% of excess over 1M + $67,633

Income tax
0.0%    $0 - $30,000
1.0%    $30,000 - $60,000
2.0%    $60,000 - $100,000
4.0%    $100,000 - $250,000
6.0%    $250,000 - $1,000,000
8.0%    $1,000,000 +

If you guys have any problems with it, feel free to state them.

Thank you, Mr. Governor. I assume we're receiving federal funding, but I have absolutely no idea how much.

To the Shuamobile!

Hold on, Mr. Governor. Why did the spending/revenue numbers change on me? They were at $163M each, now they're at $205M of spending and $195M of revenue. Did we find any more insatiable money pits?

If we do have a $33.5 billion surplus, then I'd just like to state two things:

1. Why exactly is this bad?

2. If you're aiming to reduce it, we can afford to lower the sales tax to about 2.5% and still be in the black.

If there are no more irregularities or things that we've missed, I think this is a good budget.

Does the region have any glaring problems that we can solve by throwing money at them?
