I like Bayh for a Democrat, which really isn't saying much. However, he is not a conservative. Take a look at some of his ratings, his voting record is more liberal than his rhetoric.
Zell Miller is a conservative Democrat. Bayh is a centrist at best, and even that is a stretch.
Zell Miller is NOT a conservative Democrat, Jo Lieberman, Evan Bayh and John Breaux are conservative democrats... Miller is these days (back in the 1990's he was more leftwing) pretty much inline with the mainstream of the GOP... once again he is even less of a democrat than Lincoln Chafee is a republican IMHO...

Yeah check out their ratings on American Conservative Union - Miller's better than Chaffee or Specter.

Kerry simply won't choose Edwards. Everything Edwards has going for him only helps if he's at the top of the ticket,
Kerry wants someone who:
1- Is from a critical region to this election
The fact is that Sen. Bob Graham did just as well in a poll conducted in FL as Edwards did. So if Kerry wants someone from a critical region (ie Florida), he might just as well pick Edwards as his VP.

Amen. Zell Miller is a darn Republican and needs to change parties to stop embarrasing us. I feel that Miller is my arch-rival. He and Strom Thurmond can rott in Hell (together).

Its a real shame about Zell he use to be a good populist governor... what the hell happened?
In the film "the war room" on election night as they start to see how solid the Clinton win is and the GA been carried Carville says "I gotta call Zell"... it such a shame that a guy who Carville thought so highly of (he ran his gubernational campaign in the early 1990's) ended up becoming such a “DINO” (thank you club for growth for that one… pretty good if I do say so my self)… has there been a GOP bill he has opposed? And how can he be more conservative than Specter I mean spectre is not a radical or even a very staunch conservative but he has always supported Bush on the issues… man I underrated how conservative Zell had gotten…

I've herd the man speak a few times, and he's a moron. He does nothing more than bash the wings of the Democratic party that aren't in line with his ultra-conserative approach. Just switch parties cause you're not doing us any good here.
