Reserving spot on first page, likely to edit several times...

Kelly Ayotte

Also, no way its this week - Americans won't be paying too much attention to the news.

My pick is McDonnell for now. Weighed the pro's and con's of each, and he topped the list. After him, Jindal.

Perfect "what-if" VP's:
- Martinez in CO instead of NM, elected in '06
- Rice being pro-life
- Jeb Bush not being a Bush

Discuss: Mike Huckabee

Has he denied possible VP talk? The guy is pretty likeable, has the experience, would please conservatives, and isn't a bad debator. Other than the pardons, what we be the negatives of a Romney/Huckabee ticket?

Huckabee is old news. He'd be good on TV obviously, he'd satisfy social conservatives, but would bring up economic conservative troubles. Plus there's the hypocrisy of live a healthy life oh look I gained all my weight back since 08.
Most of the people who'd have a problem with economic issues are Tea Party, and a lot of them already seem to like him.

He has less downsides, I think, then a lot of the others.

Whatever happened to Lindsey Graham as an option? Is it really only because he's single and has never been married?
I'm not sure the base would be accepting of a Mormon/Gay ticket. That won't be for a few more decades.

Can someone explain again why Sandoval isn't being looked at. Is it true he raised taxes? I thought he just made cuts to the budget. His approvals are high, plus 20 while in the 50s.

Who? Oh yeah, the guy no one's ever heard of who raised taxes, is pro-choice and had his state party cannibalized by Paulites.

Again, when did he raise taxes?
