It's literally not official at all, but I guess Romney supporters, like their candidate, have no problem being factually incorrect constantly.

Let's wait to see what the thousands of Ron Paul Ninja Delegates have to say about this.

This delegate counter obviously isn't counting the RELOVEUTION or whatever you young'uns are calling it. Everyone knows that Ron Paul will win all of the delegates, but the establishment is just using an elaborate ruse to trick us.

Being serious here: NYTimes uses the AP guesstimates, which are determined by a few people at the AP saying stuff like, "Since Romney got 70% of the vote, he gets 70% of the delegates." It don't work that way, as we've seen in North Dakota, Maine, Minnesota, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, and the Virgin Islands.

Get the app "GOP Unbound" on your iPhone, it maintains a true delegate count including zombie delegates technically pledged to another candidate (there are a surprising amount of zombies for Santorum and Gingrich).

Good job. Now the real race can begin!

May the best man win partner!

Although he is just PRESUMPTIVE nominee, he doesn't get that official status until the GOP convention.

To be fair, same goes with President Obama.  He is just the PRESUMPTIVE nominee at this point and won't become the official nominee until Charlotte.
