Not sure if this fits under state elections, but San Jose and San Diego have both massively approved significant city employee pension reforms which will  lead to massive cost savings over the coming years.  Heavily Democratic San Jose easily approved its measure which is significant in that it might show a bipartisan path to victory if California could ever get a state wide measure on pension reform for state workers on the ballot.

     San Francisco also passed pension reform last year.
