Czech Republic and Greece are both awful at the moment, and with a bit of luck Poland can definitely beat Russia. Poland has some terrific players (Lewandowski, Piszczek, Kuba, Szczesny) and with home field advantage I think they'll do well.

In 2008, Russia and Turkey got to the semifinals. In 2004, Greece won. Funny things can happen.

What follows are my predictions based on science. As of today, Estonia will have played every UEFA team at least once. By comparing each team's last performance against Estonia (ties are broken by looking at the second to last game against Estonia), we can deduce who will the European Championship.

GROUP A
Poland
Czechia

GROUP B
Holland
Germany

GROUP C
Spain
Italy

GROUP D
France
England

POLAND (p) v Germany
HOLLAND v Czechia
SPAIN (p) v England (tie on the second game as well, but England never wins penalties so...)
FRANCE v Italy

Poland v SPAIN
NETHERLANDS v France

NETHERLANDS v Spain

This Russian team is awesome. The runner-up in Group B might actually be in trouble.

I have absolutely no problem 1-0ing the entire tournament like the Spanish did two years ago.

Spain is playing a strikerless 4-6-0 formation and Italy is playing a very Italian 3-5-2 formation. This is going to be fun.

Just like I had to do something terrible and root for Chelsea to prevent Barcelona from winning again, today I will do something perhaps even worse and root for Italy to prevent Spain from winning again.

Italy is playing better. Until Del Bosque stops being an idiot and brings on an actual striker, Spain's not going to have any chance at winning this.

An Italy that can't defend a 1-0 lead for more than three goddamn minutes is an Italy I want no part in supporting. Angry
