Absolutly.  The UN certainly believed so.  Whether they had them at the exact time we invaded is debatable.  They could have destoryed them before hand or transported them elsewhere.  Bush made a mistake by making WMD the main focus of the case, though.

Think back to the 60s for a sec.  Clearly most of those who protested did not hate America (my parents, for example).  However, there clearly were people in those protests who hated America and wanted to see it destroyed.  These people rather unfortunately, since they were the most violent and radical, often got the most publicity.  I suggest you read "Radical Son" by David Horowitz for an excellent history of those times.

The same situation happens today as well.  I would go with the 80-20 rule.  80% do not hate America, 20% do.

It wasn't "before the Supreme Court", it was to a special investigator who was appointed to investigate Whitewater but illegally expanded the scope of his investigations to include the "Paula Jones Case".  This expansion, in and of itself, would be ridiculous but it is made more so by the fact that prior to replacing Robert Fiske as Special Investigator (when Fiske was about to conclude his investigation with a "no wrong doing" verdict), Ken Starr had offered to write a "friend of the court" on Paula Jones's behalf.
