Could you do it for French/Italian regions ? Smiley

Do you mean the French departments or the historical provinces?

For that matter, can anyone really tell the departments apart by shape, devoid of other info?

There are 101 departements. I think nobody would seriously ask him to do 101 avatars just for France.

Regions are only 27, however.

I would certainly refuse to 'wear' a Breton avatar which does not include Loire-Atlantique.

I am perfectly happy with our national avatar, but it'd be nice to have the same choice the Canadians have, when they have only a couple more active members than we do.

I'd like a Palestinian Territories avatar.

I would like this avatar, too, but I would prefer to call it 'disputed territories' (because that's what they are). I was going to note the possibility of calling it 'West Bank' or 'Judea & Samaria', but you're including Gaza so I suppose that won't work.

The facts on the ground would like to have a word with you.

Eh.  Palestine is no more a country right now than Western Sahara, Transnistria, Somaliland, Abkhazia, or Turkish Cyprus.  It may be a country one of these days (just like all the aforementioned), but it isn't at the moment.  Deal with it.

In any case we do not have any members from there. We have an Israeli avatar because there's a small but sizeable contingent from that country, including a regular poster. It isn't a 'political' decision.

Hi all

I am new here.... I wonder if anyone can add picture of Nunavut map on Avatar? Dont confuse between NT and NU.

Use "NU" for Nunavut and NT for Northwest Territories both in Canada.
I'd like add it on my Avatar where I am from Nunavut.

I have PMed Nym about Norway and Chile avatars, since we now have members from those two countries. I made a separate thread about it, but maybe it would be a good idea if someone supported the idea in this thread, just in case it becomes a matter of level of support.

You're from Nunavut? Cool! I guess now we have to stop using "Nunavut" as a joke option in polls.
