Weird how I haven't seen much about this race recently. I heard from another NJ Congressional candidate Tongue that Pascrell seems to have the momentum.

I really hope Pascrell pulls out a victory.

Obama endorsed Rothman because Rothman endorsed Obama in 2008.

Bill Clinton endorsed Pascrell because Pascrell endorsed Hillary in 2008.

Go PASCRELL!! Smiley

What are their positions/ideological viewpoints? I'd have to know those before I could say one is better than the other.

I was under the impression that Rothman is slightly more liberal, but they are both pretty similar.  It is also sort of a proxy fight between Bill Clinton (who is backing Pascrell) and Obama (who has made it clear that he supports Rothman, though he obviously has to be more subtle about it than Clinton).  Personally, I hope Rothman wins, which he probably will.  Honestly, I must admit that I'm impressed/surprised that Pascrell has been able to make it as close as it seems to be.

Any chance Rothman-D will be run for Governor of NJ against Christie-R in 2013 or run for the US Senate to replace Lautenberg-D in 2014?
