Pretty interesting statistics. Although I'd like to see Florida and Illinois, and see the data.

Looks like GA and TX vote the same way in terms of racial politics.

here's Illinois:

Solidly White Precincts
2010 Population 6456311 (50.3% of Population)
VAP: 4966416 (76.9%)
Obama 1628402 (50.8%)
McCain 1529250 (47.7)
Other 48005 (1.5)
% of Electorate: 58
% Turnout: 64.5

Mixed Race Precincts
2010 Population 4759000 49.1 White, 24.7 Hispanic, 15.5 Black, 8.4 Asian (37.1% of Population)
VAP 3598842 (75.6%)
Obama 1177255 (70.8%)
McCain 478904 (28.5%)
Other 21735 (1.3)
% of Electorate: 30.4
% Turnout: 46.6

Solidly Black Precincts
2010 Population 1007845 (7.9% of Population)
VAP 729221 (72.4%)
Obama 521624 (98.3)
McCain 7984 (1.5)
Other 1166 (.2)
% of Electorate: 9.6
% Turnout: 72.8

Solidly Hispanic Precincts
2010 Population 598191 (3.6% of Population)
VAP 399316 (66.8%)
Obama 91905 (83.8%)
McCain 16569 (15.1)
Other 1133 (1.1%)
% of Electorate: 1.9
% Turnout: 27.4

Solidly Asian Precincts
2010 Population 9285 (.1% of Population)
VAP 7658 (82.5%)
Obama 1405 (76.4)
McCain 419 (22.8%)
Other 15 (.8%)
% of Electorate: .1
% Turnout: 24

Separating the white precincts in Chicagoland from Downstate would probably also be revealing.

Like IL it would be interesting to compare the white precincts in suburban Philly with the ones in the rest of state. In IL the Chicago area white precincts were more Obama than average, and I suspect the same is true in Philly.

Don't states with VRA districts actually keep tabs on this?

Not generally. I know that IL doesn't break it down into numbers of precincts.
