To be frank I'm completely astonished they don't have nannies and other servants to deal with such things - and it also seems odd the children would be in a pub.  Shouldn't they be either 1) away at school or 2) summering in the country house?

"It's frightening the prime minister of Britain can forget something so important as his own daughter."

It's terribly frightening that the Prime Minister is a fallible human being like the rest of us.

As embarrassing as this would be I'm sure quite a few normally good parents do something like this at some point.

I think his Cameroon's 8 year old is safer in a British pub than the president's 11 year old daughter at an American Red Robin. Cheesy

He's human. I applaud her on promptly helping the staff out. That's good parenting.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a 'planned' story to make Cameron seem more personable. Instead it kind of backfired and made him appear an idiot.

At least it was a pub and not inside a sealed and parked SUV on a hot and humid summer day.  Tongue

Right... a simple mistake that many parents make makes him a tool.  Glad to see some rational objectivity.

If he'd followed the example of BRTD, and taken his daughter to scary movies, then she would have been better prepared for scary situations like this.

If he was working class and lived on a council estate, the Cameron's would be a problem family by what appears to be his own definition.

.. I've heard this said repeatedly, and it is garbage. 10 minutes? To be bad it would need to be over an hour.
Anyway, to be a problem you need other thins than accidental short term abandonment.

At least it's just Labour partisans talking sh**te, unlike the Tories where it's actually the ministers.
