Should Obama campaign like Bill Clinton did?

Every Democratic incumbent (in fact, every embattled incumbent) should look to the campaign of one Harry S. Truman.

The MSM has forced the GOP to nominate another Tom Dewey, so that part is already in place.  Even the names are similar:  Mitt Romney, Tom Dewey.  I've said for years that in 2012 Obama can only beat a GOP liberal, and I think the MSM realized that, too.

Note well: like Harry Truman he also has an extremely-unpopular Congress to run against.

Unlike Harry Truman he operates in the shadow of a much-derided Predecessor instead of a revered figure.

Bill Clinton is so overrated it's not even funny.

He can' t run like Bill Clinton because Clinton won with a vastly-different coalition. If he picks up the sorts of voters who went for Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996, though, he wins in a landslide. I just don't see that happening.
