Northeast Senate Results
Scott (LIBERAL) (i): 78.6% (11 votes)
Belgiansocialist (ILRR): 14.3% (2 votes)
Undecided: 7.1% (1 vote)
Other: 0%

Mideast Senate Results
Benconstine (INDEPENDENT) (i): 33.3% (6 votes)
JCL (WHIG): 50% (9 votes)
Undecided: 16.7% (3 votes)
Other: 0%

Currently, only one candidate (Redalgo) has declared to run for Midwest Senator.  That moves this race from Strong Other to Strong Labor.

Probably should move the Mideast race to lean Whig takeover.

It's barely a toss-up, but still in the toss-up column.

A 3 vote gap in the Mideast is 12%, and that's going off registration. Should be north of 15% among actual voters. Smiley

I wonder: Were those the same four people?

Anyway, it's a bit sad that the actual election only attracted two more voters than your poll did. Any idea why turnout was so low?

Jerseyrules did not campaign. There wasn't much reason for either side to get out the vote.

I think that turnout was roughly close to what it usually is for local elections here.

It is strange that both Clarence's and Oakvale's running mates did not show up to vote in the regional elections. Shout out to Clarence and Tweed for doing their part.

The special election to replace wormyguy had better turn out.

I have been out of town since June 8.  These last few days I was visiting my grandfather in Daytona, who just had his appendix removed.  What have you been doing with your life, Napoleon?

I was out of town myself. No need to be rude.

I checked the wiki and found that 27 people actually voted in the last gubernatorial election... turnout was way down from last time.

Forgive me for forgetting to vote.  Unfortunately, I was actually preoccupied with a family emergency Sunday when I wanted to vote, so you know..such things do tend to slip the mind.  I mean, I understand how you can look down on said "running mate", I've of course never done anything for the region, and obviously I can't even vote.

Are you this sad in real life, or do you enjoy the persona you've created here?  I used to at least have some respect for you, and actually defended you within the RPP.  Get back to me when you're ready to get over yourself dear Smiley

All I said was that I found it strange...no need to get offended here. A lot of us are disappointed with the turnout...no need to be rude now. If you look at what I said about Homely's bill, I said there are many good reasons why someone could miss an election and obviously you seem to have one. Pardon me for thinking it is strange that active participants don't vote in an election, considering you guys usually do vote, it is only reasonable that I find it strange. It has nothing to do with looking down on you. Strange=out of the ordinary.

Cincinnatus, I must ask why you always act like this, taking offense to simple statements that aren't insults.

Here is an old exchange, where you, for some reason, infer that I am insulting you.

I welcome your questioning of my intelligence outside of this thread, but let's avoid turning this into every other thread on the Atlasia boards.
I'm not questioning your intelligence, I know you're smarter than your post. To be honest, I thought you were trying to make a joke instead of considering my point. No offense was meant but I shall elaborate.

I found no relevant clause in the Atlasian constitution parallel to the mentioned clause found in America's constitution. This law is legal for states in America, so we could assume pretty safely off the bat that were that the case, a law like this would be constitutional here in Atlasia. The Courts are permitted to come to different conclusions in Atlasia, however, it would be silly to legislate on such a wild assumption.
And I have to explain how my simple statement is a simple statement, and not some kind of subtle attack, which I don't believe I should have had to do.

Should I have been offended by this very similar post of yours?
Governor, you know better than this.

I wasn't offended or insulted. I try not to assume that people are making attacks, and if I do assume that, I guess it would be because I believe they have a reason to.

Napoleon- because the way you pointed it out was meant to insult...you were aiming to show your ticket as being superior because my running mate and Oakvale's could not make it online to vote in an internet fantasy election. If this game is what gets you out of bed every morning- I commend you, but we all have lives...I know you are a smart guy and have things going on as well so I hope you'll excuse Yelnoc and Cincinnatus for their failure to make this their top priority

I said I found it strange. How the hell is that an insult? Don't you find it strange when active players don't vote? There are plenty of words to choose from to make an insult, strange/odd/abnormal aren't insults. You act as if I dismissed the idea that they could have good reasons for not voting, something I never said or when implied, and in fact argued was entirely possible when I gave my thoughts on Homely's bill. I found it strange that the President didn't vote in April, but it turned out he was sick...sh**t happens but you act as if I should find it normal not to vote.

The point I am trying to make is that I am a victim of Attitude Polarization. I even show you a quote from Cincinnatus that he interprets as an insult, and a quote from himself directed at me, which I do not interpret as an insult. Though I guess if he finds the phrase insulting, he may have been using it that way but I still am not going to throw a hissy fit about it.

Clarence, you of all people, should mind your own business. You've made enough insulting remarks of your own, some of them so egregious that they received moderator action, such as when you attacked Alfred Jones. Pick on someone your own age, why don't you? People are attacking my Italian origin but oh my, how dare Napoleon find it strange that people don't vote!!! And we wonder why the game is where it is..... Roll Eyes
