Big HP for his economic policy. Neither party, really, had any solution to Britain's decline in the 60's though.

If Wilson had used all his political capital to push through 'In Place of Strife' in 1969, it is quite possible, maybe, that Labour would have become more economically liberal than the Conservatives in due course.

I often wonder what things would've been like had Lab gone economically liberal before the Tories, sort of like Oz in the '80s.
