It would be helpful if you could update the first post. (I can do it myself and send you the edits to post, if that's easier - let me know.) Before we make any changes, it might be a good idea to preserve the information their now as a reply to the topic - I will take care of that.

Once the Assembly is in session, I'll add a new post detailing legislation passed this semester. At the end of the session, I'll add another reply with archived information from the first post. And so it will go.

My estimation is that the incoming Assembly is the 11th. I am not 100% certain of that though.

Hello! What's your opinion of muffins?

My opinion on muffins is WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY OFFICE YOU NEED TO SWEAR IN YOU SNIVELING WORM

...um, excuse me. Not sure where that came from. I just moved in, and I did notice a warning that this building may contain asbestos.

Anyway, I enjoy all kinds of muffins, with raspberry being my favorite. I enjoy blueberry muffins, too, and chocolate chip when I'm feeling decadent. Do you intend to introduce any muffin-related legislation? As long as nothing crucial is in the legislative queue, I'm likely to support it, but I'm afraid that this asbestos problem may be slightly more urgent...

With Speaker Simfan and Representative Winfield in attendance at a ceremony on the capitol steps, I sign:

Sidewalk Proliferation and Pedestrian Encouragement Act

1. All new residential and commercial developments in the Northeast Region will be required to have sidewalks.

2. The addition of sidewalks to roads in the Region will be encouraged and supported by a 50% subsidy for both new and existing roads.

3. The construction of bicycle lanes will be encouraged by the region and supported in a way deemed appropriate by the Budget Commission.

4. The costs for the construction and maintenance of sidewalks in private developments will be considered tax-exempt.

5. The Region will launch and maintain an advertising campaign promoting the benefits of walking for at least six months.

6. The Region will investigate and consider ways to facilitate more pedestrian-friendly forms of development.

7.  There shall be complete transparency in the granting of these construction contracts, with no favortism shown to any construction applicant whatsoever.

8.  All costs are to stay on schedule as per the quotes accepted, and no cost over runs whatsoever will be permitted.  Any cost over runs will be the responsibility of the successful bidder.

Governor, I urge you to appoint another CJO, our current officeholder is a Tweedist with a blatantly incorrect interpretation of the constitution.

2. The Chief Judicial Officer is to be appointed by the Governor with the support of the Legislative Assembly. He or she shall have a term of six months.

Despite this ridiculous lawsuit the CJO has a 6 month term.  Unless the CJO was appointed without Assembly support, or has neglected to fulfill his responsibility to the NE, why should he be replaced?

Belgiansocialist has not, to my knowledge, done anything treasonous. For now, he will remain with us. If the situation changes, I will consult with the Assembly to evaluate our options.

I encourage everyone to keep a cool head during this crisis. I believe that the Supreme Court will make the correct decision, and for the time being, I'd prefer to waste as little time as possible worrying about the tantrum of a delusional charlatan.

Distinguished Service Resolution

1. The Northeast Assembly recognizes former Governor Napoleon's years of distinguished and outstanding service to the Northeast Region.

2. To celebrate this service, a one-day festival will be held in former Governor Napoleon's honor on the grounds of the regional capitol.

3. At this festival, former Governor Napoleon will be presented with the Northeast flag that flew over the capitol on his last day of office.
