Ah well, one of the things to discuss could be what exactly people think to be Middle-East.

Several versions:

Camels and palms
The latter + excited Muslims
Muslims
Arabs

Slightly more serious:

From Morocco to Pakistan
From Turkey to Iran or Pakistan
From Levant to Iran or Pakistan
From the Arabic Peninsula to Pakistan
The Arabic Peninsula + the Gulf (Iraq and Iran)

Personally, objectively, I'd rather go by the last one, and I'd guess most people would go for Levant to Pakistan.

Oh and, 'amusing' to open a thread about there with the death of someone. ^^

I'd personally go from Libya all the way round to Iran.

There have been protests in the Sudan after Friday prayers. The immediate cause has been austerity policies thanks to the loss of oil revenues when the south broke away last year, but the underlying cause like in all other Arab countries has been corruption, unemployment, dictatorship, and so forth.

There are also rumours Omar Bashir wants to cut off the Internet.
