Howard Dean made his amazing "I Have a Scream" Speech.

Personally I liked his speech. I think it was great to hear after Gephardt's sob story speech, Edwards tired old "Two Americas", and Kerry corny "Come back Kerry" crud.

It was indeed a fine speech.

1 year after the media decided to take down Dean.
People in the crowd at that rally couldn't hear him.

The media exploits your moments of weakness.  Dean was an idiot to give it to them on a silver platter (and proceeded to do it a few more times before his battleship was finally sunk).

Deans battleship was already sunk when the results came in that night in Iowa.  The scream was just a visual representation of it.

The only thing done wrong was giving a direct feed to the media. People in the audience couldn't hear Dean.

BTW, it wasn't too long before that Dean had come out strongly against the FCC deregulation ruling. Funny how his media coverage suddenly became awful.

Ok, if you're going to do stupid crap, sure, you shouldn't give a direct feed to the media.

When you're running for president, you have to be aware of how you look on camera 100% of the time that you are on camera.

On an amusing side note, if George W Bush gave the EXACT same speech after losing the NH primary in 2000 the Republicans would have called the "ahh" a "Texas Victory Cry".
