When was the last time we had an administration with zero scandals? Obama has the first scandal-free administration since...?

As I keep saying, now that Obama has taken the F&F cover-up from Justice and made it his own, it has the
potential
to do a lot of damage.
Holder has already admitted that the withheld documents are "embarrassing" and Americans know the President doesn't use the "nuclear bomb" of non-disclosure unless there is something
really important to hide
.
I have a feeling that Obama's actions in F&F are not unconnected to his recent presidential amnesty for a million Mexican illegals. That should keep the Mexican government silent on this matter at least for awhile.

Darrell Issa has dropped this one, suggesting either (1) that there is nothing there, (2) a continuing investigation will look bad for Republicans, or (3) that President Obama has something on Issa. President Obama hasn't blackmailed Republican pols yet, so I can rule it out.

Yes, Obama loses maybe 0.25% of the vote.
However, this gets swamped by pretty much everything else that happens between now and election day.

Too soon to tell. It certainly won't help him, though.

Sadly no. Its not like Obama himself planned it out, but he could have at the very least called on Holder to resign.

Yes. Folks
perceive
that Obama is acting like he has something to hide. It is particularly bad for Obama, because this is precisely the kind of issues that the 10% or so of the electorate that are swing voters tend to be peculiarly sensitive to. They tend to be more into process issues, and what seems to be fair and transparent.

I fail to see how Obama is even to blame at all in this. It sounds like the ATF tried a very stupid plan (which started under Bush) that certainly didn't result in good things. While that certain means the ATF leadership needs to be overhauled, it's nothing Obama had direct influence over.

The way things stand now, no. The economic crisis in Europe will have a far more dire effect on President Obama's chances of re-election than the sound and fury of this little mouse of a scandal.

I'd venture to guess most independent voters would assume you were referring to the mediocre series of action films.
The only people paying attention to that are the conservatives who already hate Obama and the liberals who just love seeing Darrell Issa grow progressively more paranoid and unhinged.

Of course it will. It's certainly not going to HELP him. Will it cost him a lot of votes? No. But will it cost him a handful? Probably. So, sure, it'll hurt him, but not to any point that will matter.

Because the MSM has strived mightily to cover-up F&F --
neither NBC Nightly News nor ABC World News ran a single story on it until this month!
-- the first thing people have to do is to educate the masses about exactly what happened. The MSM sure isn't going to do it (exception: Sharyl Attkinson of CBS News, the lone voice in the MSM who has actually covered the scandal -- and been "screamed at by the White House" for doing so).
Note, the following interview was given nine months ago --
just before Justice "corrected" its claim that its top officials knew nothing about F&F.
Ingraham:
So they were literally screaming at you?
Attkisson:
Yes. Well the DOJ woman was just yelling at me. The guy from the White House on Friday night literally screamed at me and cussed at me.
Ingraham:
Who was the person? Who was the person at Justice screaming?
Attkisson:
Eric Schultz. Oh, the person screaming was [DOJ spokeswoman] Tracy Schmaler, she was yelling not screaming. And the person who screamed at me was Eric Schultz at the White House."
...
"[The White House and Justice Department] will tell you that I'm the only reporter--as they told me--that is not reasonable. They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I'm the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I'm unfair and biased by pursuing it."
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/cbs-news-reporter-says-white-house-screamed-swore-her-over-fast-and-furious_595011.html
Given the comments I've seen here in recent days, it's clear there's an immense amount of educating to do.

Spoken like a man who expects the Obama-MSM SuperPAC cover-up to succeed. And it probably will. Romney and the Establishment Repubs that surround him are too stupid to know what to do with it.
But if it were me, I'd be running non-stop educational campaigns -- in Spanish -- to explain the Obama operation that the Mexican ambassador recently said "has poisoned all feelings Mexicans have for the U.S."
