I've been reading up alot on the Fast & Furious scandal over the past few days, even though I've known about it for a while.

It seems to me IMO that  the idea floated around by some really hard right GOP House members that F&F was some ploy by Preisdent Obama to push for increased gun control here in the US obviously doesn't hold much water. Esp. since the whole concept of what occured during Operation Fast & Furious has been going on long before Obama entered the White House. Let along with the fact that he prob didn't even know much about the details of Fast & Furious

However, what I feel does stick is the appearence that the Justice Dept was highly negligent & incompetent in the way they managed this whole sting operation and as a result caused death's as well as badly damaged our working relationship's with Mexico.

For that alone Holder should resign imo.

But does Fast & Furious really hold stick at alll? For the reasons I cited above I think it does.

Leg's what? Wink

I until very recently thought no in the most certain terms, but it does sound very bad, the more we hear of it. "Obama's policy led to 300 Americans dying" sounds terrible.

While it's very unfortunate what happened to Brian Terry, I think this is a case where unless the other shoe is about to drop in some serious way, the cover-up is a much bigger deal politically than Fast and Furious itself.

The cover-up almost always is.  The Feds got Capone for tax evasion, not bootlegging.

I don't understand why Obama doesn't just tell Holder to resign and say "yeah, we're never doing that again". Holder is a deadweight that doesn't help Obama at this point.

Indeed.  This ain't an issue anybody can hold against Obama...unless he lets Holder stay on.
