Phil, I believe in you! The problem is I believe in your curse, and I want Romney to win, so I'm rooting for Spain.

Neither/Don't Care (American, no ties to Italy or Spain).

Fuerza rojo! Viva Espana! Viva Romney!

And Julio, don't go telling me Viva Espana makes you think of the Falangists. Everyone knows that Falangists say Arriba Espana.

I know, I also say Viva España... sometimes. Specially when we have a football match. But in other situations, I hate to hear that.

Spain because a good chunk of my family has roots in Spain and I've had an infatuation with the country and its past over the past few years. I have no interest in Italy.

So, I support Italy because I have a 100€ bet running on them and I also support Spain because I have a chance to win the tipping competition against Keystone Phil on here. But A) outweighs B) because of the 350€ I could win, so I'm actually strongly rooting for Italy ... Wink

Seems like everyone who actually cares about the football (and isn't just going by sympathies to countries) is for Italy.
