2012 Governor Endorsements
«
on:
July 06, 2012, 03:56:49 pm »
Once endorsements become available on here, what will your endorsements look like? Mine will, for the time being, look like this:
Indiana: Mike Pence (R)
New Hampshire: Ovide Lamontagne (R)*
North Carolina: Pat McCrory (R)
North Dakota: Jack Dalrymple (R)
Utah: Gary Herbert (R)
Washington: Rob McKenna (R)*
(The * indicates candidates in states that have not held a primary yet.)
These are just the states where I am familiar with the candidates. Hold on for updates throughout the campaign season.

Hmm, you mean the ones I feel strongly enough about to endorse? I only really feel strongly about supporting one (Cooke), but here's the rest of the ones I'm interested in.
Delaware: Jack Markell (D)
Missouri: Jay Nixon (D)
Utah: Peter Cooke (D)
Montana: Steve Bullock (D)
Vermont: Peter Shumlin (D)
Washington: Jay Inslee (D)
West Virgina: Bill Maloney (R)
I only support Maloney because I can't stand the hypocrisy of the West Virgina Democrats.

I agree with Miles. I may not be wild about West Virginia Democrats like Manchin or Tomblin, but they are far better than any Republican you can get in this state.

Yes, but Manchin is far worse than Rockefeller. He doesn't need to be that conservative to be reelected in WVa. I know nothing about Tomblin, but I suppose he's a DINO too.

So far only 6 pairs of candidates (out of 11) are determined. But, probably, McKenna in Washington and Democrats in all other states..

Miles is still stubbornly a populist Democrat from the Deep South so he's used to this from all sides. I don't think he's actually mad at you.
