Really football is a sport played by kicking around a ball. What Americans call football is a sport that primarily consists of throwing or carrying an object that isn't a ball.

I'm guessing the British coverage is similar to NBC's, just replace "American" with "British".

Yeah possibly the only sport more boring than sailing is golf, which isn't in the Olympics. Olympic shooting is pretty dull too. It'd be cooler if the sport instead was some type of obstacle course like the tutorial missions in the Call of Duty games instead of just "point gun->shoot->wait to be told how you did"

I wonder what the coverage in Canada is like for that gymnast who just went on the vault. That was tough. Really bad for her. At least the crowd tried to lift her up.

Oh man there's an Italy vs. Netherlands beach volleyball game going on now. I hope Phil is watching, lol. Go Dutch of course.

(Too bad it's men's. I enjoy that significantly less than women's beach volleyball for obvious reasons.)

That Stars Earn Stripes show I keep seeing ads for looks f**king disgusting. No surprise it has Todd Palin in it.

I'd rather they advertise Revolution more, that's the only new show I'm seeing ads for that looks likely to be good.

She's bitter she only got silver? She's a sad individual.

She was the way overwhelming favorite. The commentators on NBC were even saying things like that the ones who went before her were probably scared of her knowing that she'd beat them so they weren't performing as well and how it was obvious that she was going to win.
