How dare you ask someone to be tolerant of homosexuals!  Asking you to be tolerant of others and treat them with kindness is extrmely immoral!  Oh wait.  Shut up you bastard and go sit in the corner.

"Family values" annoy me as an anti-traditionalist.

It's funny that there are people who actually believe that group.

I really have to wonder about James Dobson if the most important thing he has to do is to attempt to figure out which cartoon characters are gay.

This might be the funniest post of the week. Well done.

How dare we respect others! We must either highlight the immorality of homosexuality or pretend it does not exist. For the children.

I do not disrespect Bush just because he is a conservative Republican. I disrespect him because of what choices he has made in his administration.

With that logic, I could easily justify that it is OK to hate black people because some people automatically disrespect those of the opposite politics. Politics are chosen, and express one's personal beliefs and opinions; it isn't a skin color.

Politicians go into the game to be disrespected. Any political figure is fair game, just like any movie star.

Oh come now.  Do you really believe what you just said?  Don't you think you should have respect for other people regardless whether they're in politics or not?  Or whether they're gay or not?

Basically, I automatically respect an indiividual I know nothing about. But if you know these figures, evenm indirectly, and if they're putting themselves on your TV screens, then you can disrespect them, of course. I don't like everyone who is gay, but I don't jdge until I know at least something about them.

Yes, because Bush is an individual person whose own actions have made him an object of shame and derision, while homosexuals in general merely have sex a little differently - nothing any reasonable person could say is better or worse than heterosexuality.

Sexual orientation of cartoon characters has only moved up from #2 on his list after he helped Tom Coburn get elected.  Coburn's fascination was with accusing schoolgirls in a small town of "rampant lesbianism."

I really have to wonder about James Dobson if the most important thing he has to do is to attempt to figure out which cartoon characters are gay.

Fun fantasy.. but alas, no more than that.

By the way, is the 'rampant' one the 'man' and non-rampant one the girl?  I'm fascinated by the roles.

Note that it is 'sexual identity' and not 'sexual orientation' that we are being asked to accept.  There is a difference.

Sexual orientation includes heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual. Sexual identity includes such things as transvestites and transgender.

Sorry, but I will never accept the trans categories as fully equal.  They should not be teaching in public schools.  I'm sorry, but it is not normal nor acceptable for a person to always dress as a member of the opposite sex and children should not be taught that.

So it's IMMORAL to ask people to be kind to other sexual identities?  Even if you do sexual identities which to not correspond to genitilia at birth unnatural, the "pledge" is only asking your kids to be tolerant.

And while sexual identity includes transvestites and transgenders, it also includes homosexual and a few other things.
