He seemed all right at first, but now he looks like yet another troll...

Looks like another troll. But at least he's a little more creative than the one trick pony that was FreedomFighter.

He has some pretty strong beliefs, to put it mildly. He does seem pretty radical, but I'll give him a few days before I decide on this....

I'm not a fan of the George Galloway style of leftist.

After reading his posts over, I'm going to conjecture that he's the forum equivalent of Charles Barron, which isn't necessarily a bad thing...

FreedomFighter was a BritishDixie sock, apparently created so that BritishDixie could have staged arguments with himself.  Green State is not an obvious sock, but everyone is presumed guilty until proven innocent.  Wink

Before he had a signature, FF. After that, I believe he's a troll or a sock... But I have many "hackish" friends who like Gaddafi and Chavez and whom I'd consider 'FF'.

Fantastic - I love him!  And particularly his signature about Gaddafi, though I suppose it is not allowed to express anything other than condemnation for Gaddafi.

Is it really acceptable on this forum to call those with whom one disagrees 'idiots'?

How can somebody not express condemnation for Gaddafi?

How can somebody not express condemnation for Gaddafi?

Those of us who found him preferable to the alternatives, Julio.

And...? The alternative doesn't make Gaddafi better. If Hitler were to be the only alternative to GWB, I'd prefer GWB, but I'd still express my condemnation for him. Wouldn't you?

I was undecided for awhile but am now leaning toward HP; the new signature definitely doesn't score any points with me whether it is a playful bit of trollage or meant to be read into seriously.

You make a good point about semantic nuance, JM, well done.  But it is still rather beside the point - some of us did 'support' Gaddafi, in a relative sense.  Heck if you carry your point to its extreme, one would have to be awfully careful about commending even someone like Obama - in our capitalist system no really appealing leader is ever allowed near power.

Oh, and talking about alternatives... It seems that Mahmud Yibril is the alternative Lybia wants. Do you think he's worse than Gaddafi??
