Romney took 33 delegates, 2 for Paul.

Apparently, this was Paul's last chance to get a plurality in five states and have a guaranteed speaking slot.

Yeah, presumably that means that Romney won't let him speak at the convention.  I guess there aren't enough ninja delegates to save him?

Can there still be a roll call vote?

Given the way things are crumbling around Mittens, why not?

My thoughts exactly. These conventions go on long enough. I don't want a three-hour Ron Paul speech thrown in there.

Plus if Paul did get a speaking slot, the Paulites would go crazy about it and probably spam every political website on the internet. That's a future I don't want to see.

As if it was ever in doubt or made much difference.

Of course, this nominally doesn't mean he doesn't have a shot at a speaking slot. It's entirely possible that the rules in one of the pseudo-Romney states taken over by Paul supporters will be changed from within (as they are being challenged), which would give Paul the 5 states regardless. Not that it really matters either way.

Paul has majorities in...

Iowa
Nevada
Minnesota
Maine

Louisiana is disputed--in other words, there still is hope.

To quote my Uncle, "This is the man media putting us down!".

IIRC Nevada doesn't count because the delegates are nominally bound to Romney, but apparently he either won a plurality in Oregon or Washington.
