since he first began posting it was clear that something was off.  a general idea is that somehow his posts have been run through a translator multiple times; but this begs the question, why?  and how does he appear able to comprehend what others are saying?  he could use the 'translate page' option built into his web browser... whatever he is, it's a unique case worthy of our study, and we should now develop a General Theory of t_host for the community to share.

I don't know how he does it, but I would love to know how he does it - I admire the effect immensely and would perhaps like to incorporate some subtle touches of it somewhere, or somehow.  Perhaps in 'research'.

I've already proposed that he uses this, the Bad Translator (http://ackuna.com/badtranslator) as some sort of joke, but he would have to set it to something very mild (the website itself suggests 8 translations with a maximum of 35 -- it used to be in the 60s but then Google Translate made them stop using that, so now they use Bing, which has far fewer languages). Here's the following quote:

You can have a maximum of 150 characters at a time, so I got rid of the bits in parentheses. After 8 translations:

Sounds t_hostian, doesn't it? And here, just for fun, is the same quote after the maximum 35:

By this point any link with the original quote has been totally severed.
