Obama's favorability is taking a big hit among Registered Voters: He's at 36/48%, while Romney's at 32/36%. So much for Mr. Likeable.
Then how do you explain how Obama just got a 52% favorable rating in the new FOX poll, of all places? Because this is a thread about a CBS/NYTimes poll. CBS/NYT doesn't seem to be the best pollster. At this point in 2004, Kerry was sustaining small leads and in more than one poll, we see how that turned out. If Romney was so unstoppable, he'd manage better than a 1% lead in one poll.
Nate Silver of Five Thirty Eight ranks CBS/NYTimes above Fox: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/search/label/pollster%20ratings
