I am calling the Assembly into a Committee of the Whole to debate the issue of a new capital, namely, where it should be situated. We have generally agreed that we should designate a preexisting settlement as the capital, but we seem to have disagreements as to what that place should be. Before passing legislation authorizing the designation of a new capital I would like to reach a consensus as to the capital's location as to expedite the legislative process.

As we're obviously a gang of obstructy politicians, I say we go with what the general public says.

There is a lot of humor to be mined from this as the mind of LBJ in the body of an 18 month old baby girl is quite hilarious.

Alfred is the Atlasian equivalent of a malevolent deity.

^^^

I think we should just honor whichever location gets most support in the poll.

Why don't we pass legislation putting it to a formal vote, with a nomination process open to citizens? I'm not open to selecting our capital based on the results of an anonymous poll in which anyone can vote.

This is a much better idea.

In fact, I'm going to start drafting legislation that will do just that right now.
