Obama doubles his lead over romney from last month.
Romney leads on economy, but Obama leads on everything else. Candidate unfavorables at all time highs in poll. Seems about right.

Lmao!
Mitt is leading when it comes to the economy, but he is so unlikeable that it is rather pointless.

Hey, let's stack our poll with Democrats to show Obama in the lead! That's never been done before.

46% Democrat, 35% Republican to be exactly. D+11? Seriously?

Junk poll, and I'm not being sarcastic. What sample did they use? 1964? 1936?

Not if the poll was R+11, because we'd be deluding ourselves.

Again, just because Romney isn't leading, does not mean the poll is wrong. If Romney is leading on the economy issue, it's hard to see the sample effecting the accuracy of the poll.

Yeah, that's true. But that's not the reason here. It's that the sample is D+11 so thanks for the call.

This is not 2002. The Democrats' margin of support is wider than it used to be.

Again, Romney leads on the question of the economy, if the sample was effecting the numbers so much, wouldn't Obama do better on that question? Whatever you want to believe though.

Mark Murray of NBC News says this about his station's poll:
Quote
Why it's still a horserace:
Romney actually leads by 2 pts among high-interest voters, 48%-46%.

The toplines don't seem hugely unreasonable (beyond the generally tendentious nature of polling in this whole cycle) but the partisan breakdown is just bizarre. This might be one of those polls where just being content with comparing it to previous incarnations of itself is the best course of action.

If the sample is D+11, and Romney leads on the economy, that's a bit embarrassing for the President.
Otherwise, rubbish poll. Obama is leading by around 2 points at the moment I'd say.

Romney leads on the economy but Obama leads on economic messaging. Apparently. They're thin-slicing the nature of the questions into near-meaninglessness.

As I said in the other thread about this poll, the best course of action is probably to compare it to previous incarnations of itself, not necessarily to polls from other sources or perceptions of objective reality.
