Three reasons:

(1) AIPAC, etc

(2) Crazy Evangelical Zionists who think Israel has to exist in its present form for the Rapture to occur

(3) Jewish Democrat voters in places like Brooklyn (though Jews in my experience are less pro-Israel on average than Evangelicals, go figure)

Hm, you're actually right, since Israel and the U.S. are both horrible warmongering countries that are built upon human suffering.

That statement pretty much sums up the modern Left today.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Most "left-wing" people are just as patriotic and pro-Israel as Sean Hannity.  Hell, I've encountered a few people who consider themselves left-wing, who think Bradley Manning is a dirty "traitor."

Why? Can you mention one good thing about him in you opinion beside the hardline against the Palestinians (I guess you support those policies)? He has more or less been a disaster for Israel economic, under him Israeli politics has become even more tribal with different Jewish groups and fraction barely being able to stand being in the same room. I hated him then I was pro-Israel, now i have mostly stopped caring about him (just as I have stopped caring about Israel), but still I don't why ANYBODY would see him as anything positive.
