Yeah, the biggest winners out of this seem to be the Tories. Distancing themselves from the Republicans and sticking close to Obama is a good strategy.

I don't think this has much of an effect on elections anywhere but this whole situation does help the Tories get all patriotic and distance themselves from Republicans at the same time. Of course I'm not saying that the distancing is worth much but it helps.
If Britain were the 51st state, think of the additional gerrymandering possibilities. More maps!
