Sort of depends on circumstances, but probably exile.

I don't really have an unconditional sense of loyalty to country. Being exiled probably would not bother me much in the long-run provided I could rebuild my life in the new, adoptive homeland. Should things go quite badly it is not as though death is somehow no longer a valid option, no?

Depends where I'm exiled to, and how painful death is. Probably exile, though.

I'll be getting the hell out of CT in a year or two, so option one.

I'd be fine to be exiled from this country. At one time, maybe not so much, but I actually have another country that I enjoyed spending several months in. It wouldn't bother me at all to leave this place.

I'm probably thin enough to withstand the ice, so exile.

Virginia (preferably some rural area near VA Beach).  It's far too expensive to live where I am now and frankly, I hate the weather here.

Ironic. The disgustingly humid and hot weather down here has me wanting to move to New England, or somewhere that isn't regularly 95+ degrees. That, and the fact that the price of lobster is dropping. http://moneyland.time.com/2012/07/18/lobster-prices-are-at-record-lows-but-only-in-new-england/

Haha.  I think South Carolina is significantly hotter than Virginia, though, is it not?  I'd imagine VA has somewhat of a medium feel to it, weather wise- especially the southereastern part.  The snow here just bugs me all the time.

But yeah, I'd definitely miss the low lobster prices- assuming what we usually pay here is what one would consider 'low.'

I'm not positive, but VA can get pretty hot. I have seriously been talking a lot lately about getting out of the South. The summer's down here didn't bug me when I was young (most likely due to the fact that we weren't in school Smiley, but lately they've been downright unbearable. New England strikes me as perfect. How hot is it up there right now?

The temperature right now is kind of humid, but rather decent.  Summers are the only bearable time to live here, in my opinion, but we also get a lot of rain during this time.

New England is perfect if you're a winter person.

Scott, it's been awful in Virginia of late.  Humid and hot and awful.  But still, we're the greatest Smiley

And I vote exile.
