Engagement rings work the same way they do for opposite-sex engagements and the last name issue is worked out by the couple. There can be hyphenation, one partner takes the name of the other, or no change at all. I've decided that I'm gonna take my boyfriend's last name... when we actually do get fricken married.

I've always presumed I'd keep my own name, unless he had a name that worked exceptionally well for double barrelling. Probably something with a B.

Which is scary really. Michael is en route to London to do a few performances there and he's not back in Scotland until the night before. Kilts are all hired, guests are invited. The ceremony will be taking place in a nice Georgian building that holds Glasgow's civil partnerships and civil marriages.

I will probably be on here more than I hoped just to keep myself occupied Smiley
