First, thank you for having me.

I am here today to speak in support of passage and ratification of the Treaty Ratification Amendment.

2/3 Senate support is appropriate for such major foreign policy decisions. Placing this procedure in our Constitution will eliminate future disputes over the constitutionality of treaty-making.

I want to make sure that this applies only to defense treaties and not any sort of trade agreement.

I don't see why approving a treaty should take precedent over other foreign policy concerns, and that would be better taken care of by an OSPR amendment anyway.

Or else what? You'll make him disappear? You're a bit late...

Senator,

Do you believe that this new openness will be able to in any way calm fears amongst our allies, especially Israel, that Iran will not use its nuclear capabilities to harm the State of Israel?

Is this meant for a Senator? Huh

Our allies know they have our support, if that is what you are asking. We don't believe Iran has a death wish.

Thank you, Mr. President.

What has and/or what can Atlasia do to improve relations with Islamic nations like Egypt, Libya, and Turkey?

I'll be having the SoEA address this question on behalf of my administration.

The time has come to get tough on China and do so without upsetting the global economy. We believe China will get the message and cooperate with is better.

Mexico, I think, should remain Most Priority. They are a good trade partner and ally. The levels of violence there have decreased drastically over the past few months, so we should stay the course.

Mr. President, have you had any conversations with the SoEA in the last month?  Can you account for his absence?  Why has he not been fired?

No, no and I was away for a while and since then have yet to find a replacement.

I can't help but wonder if we (actually and more importantly, the refugees) would be better off giving them $200 million worth of food, water, supplies, shelter and so on instead of giving the money to another government where it may never get to the refugees.

I believe its best we amend the bill now, so no time is wasted in getting this aid to the refugees.

Mr. Chair, Mr. Secretary, what do you think of this?

If the PPT is unwilling to act on my suggestion from the other thread (which I would understand), maybe Ben can amend the text before introduction? Smiley

I resign from my seat on the National Security Committee. The PPT/VP will be notified. It was fun, guys. Hopefully I'm still able to work with you in an unofficial capacity.

Will the Department be taking steps to ensure future intelligence is more secure?
