It would look like the bar scene in 'Star Wars'.

Cabinet members don't usually determine a president's fate, but Lieberman anywhere in Romney's administration would likely guarantee a Democrat becomes our 46th President on January 20, 2017 and would raise the likelihood of a Democratic wave in 2014.

That's absurd.  I don't think Lieberman has been polled nationally since 2009 when health care reform was the hot topic, and back then opinion was fairly evenly split on him, with many people having no opinion:

My guess is that the number with no opinion has only grown in the last few years, since he hasn't been in the news much.

Petraeus is ineligible to be Secretary of Defense.  By law, no one who has served in the military in the past ten years may hold that post.  The earliest he could hold that post would be September 2021.

You think Brown will lose in Massachusetts?  There's no way Brown gets a cabinet post if he wins as the Democrats would be almost certain to regain the seat.

Ah, forgot about that.  In that case, replace Petraeus on my list with Stephen Hadley.  Or maybe even Lieberman if he doesn't get Homeland Security.  Romney will want some pretend bipartisanship in a high profile position, and who better to fulfil the need for pretend bipartisanship than Lieberman?

Answer: A heck of a lot better than the Obama Cabinet (Although I do tip my hat to Clinton, a real American hero).

I have a little bit of spare time to post right now. Don't worry: I'll be back to lurking soon enough.

I highly doubt Governor Schweitzer would accept a cabinet post. He's likely to challenge Romney in 2016, and serving in his cabinet would do nothing but hurt him with Democrats.

Good point. See Jon Huntsman.
