The bill both tightens and loosens the current Mideast Sex Crime Statute. While the bill seeks to tighten the law when it comes to sex crimes where children below the age of 12 are involved (see Section 2, Clause 2), it liberalizes the current statute with regards to sexual acts between teenagers who are older and, thus, more mature (see Section 2, Clauses 5-8). All in all, I think this amendment is a fair and sensible compromise.

Again, I see no reason to oppose this. It seems worded correctly (unless I skipped over something, and I'm pretty sure I didn't.) and is all around understandable.

Tbh as an IRL 15 year old I wish this were the law haha

Could we also add human trafficking to the list of sex crimes and make the proper sentencing regarding convictions for said crime?

Seeing no further debate in over 48 hours, this bill is brought to a final vote.  Members will vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.  This will be a 48-hour vote.

The AYEs are 4, and the NAYs are 0, with 1 not voting.  The AYEs have it and the bill is passed.  The bill is now passed onto the Governor for his signature or veto.
