the thing is, when (court) volleyball decreed that women had to compete half-naked from now on (seriously, they regulate the size of those panties they have to wear) in an openly sexist ploy for more airtime, it backfired over here and it gets hardly shown anymore.

US coverage seems to make primary use of things like broad tracking shots from above. The outfits are ridiculous but what I saw during these Olympics wasn't produced nearly as salaciously as coverage of beach volleyball.

I may however have seen an exceptional match, since I don't watch volleyball all that much.

I think volleyball is shown more often in the United States than any other women's team sport, with the exception of basketball and perhaps soccer.
