With the rise of AFD and Euro-skepticism in Germany (now the third largest party in Germany), do you see them holding a EU-exit referendum similar to Britain within the next 10 years and exiting the EU?

AfD's Euro stance was more similar to the UK Conservatives than UKIP's. Reform, and if that fails, referendum. I really can't see a situation where AfD would be in a position to enact the reform, let alone the referendum which they'd lose handily.

You could scarcely pick a country less likely to leave the EU.

No. This is about as likely as Russia leaving the CIS.

I think Germany leaving the EU is actually more likely than that

Nah, the next to leave would probably be a Scandinavian country as they have always had a consistent Eurosceptic tendency like Britain.

>In Denmark, The Danish people's party which has very Eurosceptic policies came second with 21% of the vote in 2015. Although they don't advocate leaving, their strength still indicates Eurosceptic tendencies. Also, there is the left wing Red-Green Alliance which advocates leaving the EU at 8% of the vote. Also, back in 2000, they rejected the Euro by 53-47.
> In Sweden, the Sweden Democrats are polling at ~20% (2nd place) who also support many Eurosceptic policies but not leaving. There is also the Left Party which supports leaving the EU at 6%. Also, their referendum on joining the EU in the first place was fairly close at 52-47 and their rejection of the Euro was pretty solid too, 56-42.

No.

If any country it would be Catalonia as if it becomes independent it wouldn't automatically become an EU member, it could re apply if it wanted to.

LOL, no. This would be the dumbest thing ever. EU is massively beneficial to Germany. And public opinion is overwhelming pro-EU.

Yes, Germany is an economic populist state.

This is a joke, BTW.

It's as irrational as a US President wanting to leave NAFTA or NATO...

Having said that, while nationalism in Germany has  surged, it doesn't look like it has nearly to the same amount as it did to elect Trump in the US or Brexit in the UK.
