Yes! Called it! I woke up this morning, casually checked my Guardian iPhone app, and voila, top story, Paul Ryan is to to be Romney's running mate!

Ryan is an excellent choice if I may say so, he is very popular with conservatives, plays well in the key states of Wisconsin and Iowa, boosts the economic credentials of the ticket. Oh, and he is competent. I can't wait for the VP debates, Biden vs. Ryan will be an absolute treat!

Okay, I better stop. I'm getting giddy now. Romney/Ryan 2012!

He's a policy wonk, he'll come off as too much of a smart alec to exactly the people he's meant to attract, especially when compared to Joe Biden in the VP debate. He's an intellectual Sarah Palin, except he won't be able to win the "folksy" vote, which is important.
