Is it any surprise that the biggest weasels in high school end up in politics?

Paul Ryan automatically drags down the average freedomosity of the class as a whole. Sorry, Tony Huml!

It's a Czech name, and like a number of Indo-European languages, Czech uses l and r as a vowel.  So does English in words like cattle, but we stick a silent e at the end because we think all syllables need vowels.  Most likely hyphenated as Hu-ml.

I think it's a German name (Hummel, which translates as "Bumblebee" but is not as uncommon as you'd think) in Czech spelling.

It figures that Paul Ryan was always a kiss-ass.

FC. One key feature in Ryan's career is his skill in being a protege- Kemp and Bennett foremost among his mentors. You can see a slightly different version of this in his relationship with Romney today. So it doesn't surprise me that he was the same as a high schooler.

Is Adam Ryan any relation? I have some vague knowledge of Ryan's parents and know he has a wife and young children but I don't know about any siblings and I'm afraid Googling 'paul ryan' would be about as pleasant and informative as the 2012 board.
