In a nutshell there are two bands of this name, a mid-90s emo one from DC, and a German death metal band. As you can tell their fans don't get along.
Who I stand with is obvious. Note the homophobia of the metalheads too.

I just did my small part, upvoting the pics of the emo band and downvoting the pics of the metal band.

Midwest emo is great but "skramz" has no appeal to me anymore.

Have you heard Anasarca? They're a classic sound, they were from 1994-1997 after all.

On a side note, at church today the worship band played a classic hymn basically in the style of classic emo. They even had a post-rockish twinkly interlude that built up to the vocalist screaming into the mic and falling to the floor. Got to wonder what all the olds in attendance were thinking (there was a lot more than normal because of all the family and family friends of the guest sermon preacher who came.)

Neither. Screamo and death metal both generally sound like pig crap, with few exceptions. I prefer my music where the vocalist doesn't sound like someone trying to strangle a tuba.
Yes, that's exactly
what screamo music
sounds like.

The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

Metal is objectively a better genre than "emo."

No, that would be clicking on this thread and making damn sure that the OP knows that we don't give a crap.
Somehow I think that option would get at least a plurality.
