Governor Scott of Connecticut and Governor Antonio of California (Dem): 239
Governor Supersonic of North Carolina and Governor Goldwater of Washington (Rep): 245
Senator Averroes of New York and Senator Shua of Virginia (Ind): 54

House elects Supersonic President, Senate elects Antonio Vice President, providing for a really stormy four years.

TNF/Scott - D (242)
Averroes/Shua - I (155)
Supersonic/Goldwater - R(141)

Despite Goldwater's appeals to libertarians, Supersonic's social conservatism outweighed it, causing Averroes/Shua to win much of the less social-conservative yet still economically centrist to liberal vote.  TNF takes most liberal states plus KY/WV due to geography, but loses some to Averroes in more libertarian-leaning areas.  Supersonic keeps only the socially conservative areas.  However, the election is sent to the GOP House and after much uproar, Averroes was elected President.

The Republican party falls apart, with two new parties rising to fill the void of opposition to the Democratic party.  The Moderate Party, which as it's name suggests is running on a moderate platform, and the Socialist Party, which is running to the left of the Democrats.

Governor Scott (D-CT) / Senator Wyodon (D-WY) - 217 EVs
Senator Αverroës Nix (M-NY) / Governor HPJ (M-IN) - 229 EVs
Senator Tony (S-CA) / Governor TNF (S-KY) - 92 EVs

The election ends up going to Congress, where the House selects Nix for President and the Senate selects Woydon for Vice President.

Gov. Nix(R-NY)/Congressman HPJ (R-IN) 196
Gov Scott (L-CT)/Senator Wyodon (L-WY) 37
Gov. Tony (SD-CA)/Activist TNF (SD-KY) 305

Talk about chaos. After a full socialist takeover of the Democrat party Gov Scott forms the Liberal party taking Wyodon of Wisconsion with him. Nix and his libertarian faction within the tea party pull a dreamed about upset and wisely he picks moderate congressman HPJ. In spite of the GOP'S unified GOTV and Scott's proposals of infrastructure improvements, the Social Democrat party led by Tony and environmental activist TNF narrowly win many key battleground states and thus the presidency. It was also marked that neither Scott or Nix could win their home states inspite of extremely close recounts in many states.

Why aren't I in that matchup?

Wyoden/Tony (Democratic) - 248 EVs
JCL/Goldwater (Republican) - 151 EVs
TNF/HPJ (Populist/Independent) - 139 EVs

The election goes to Congress, where Wyoden is elected President and HPJ is elected Vice President.

Governor Scott (D-CT) selects as his running-mate the more lefty Governor Antonio (D-CA) and goes into the general election against Congressman Goldwater (R-WA) and his running-mate, fellow Congressman JCL (Lib-IN) running a fusion Republican/Libertarian ticket against the wishes of large swathes of rank-and-file LP members. They nominate another ticket featuring a member of the Democratic Freedom Caucus, Wyoming Governor Wyodon for President and he selects as his running-mate the former Republican turned Independent Mayor of Indianapolis, HPJ.

Gov. Wyodon's candidacy ultimately draws more from Scott than it does Goldwater, allowing the Republican/Libertarian fusion ticket to win the White House.

I'll break the Golden Rule, because that's the only way to make this thread work:

Gov. Wyodon (D-WY)/Sen. Scott (D-CT): 32.1%, 182 EV
Gov. TNF (S-KY)/Rep. Antonio (D-CA): 33.7%, 179 EV
Gov. Goldwater (R-WA)/Gov. JCL (R-IN): 34.2%, 177 EV

Not aiming to be realistic... I wanted to see what a 3-way tie with a Socialist party would look like. Tongue

The Republican primaries end up being a close race between Goldwater, the socially liberal Governor of Washington, and JCL, the paleoconservative governor of Indiana, with Goldwater just barley winning the nomination and choosing JCL as his running mate for the sake of party unity. Meanwhile, things on the Democratic side were a bit more controversial. TNF, the populist Governor of Kentucky, was just barley able to clinch the nomination over Scott, a moderate Senator for Connecticut, and decided to prioritize ideological consistency over party unity by choosing the openly socialist California Senator Antonio as his running mate. This angered Scott enough to leave the Democratic Party and run on a third party with the independent Indiana Senator HPJ, running on platform of third way economics between the very economically conservative Republican ticket and the very left wing Democratic. Polling showed that the Scott/HPJ doing very well and even having a shot at winning the election, but in late October HPJ resigned form his seat in the Senate after it was discovered that he was involved in various illegal activities such as fraud and bribery, which completely destroyed the ticket's chances at winning the election and lead to a very narrow victory for the Republicans.

Governor Goldwater (R-WA) / Governor JCL (R-IN) - 272 EVs
Governor TNF (D-KY) / Senator Antonio (D-CA) - 259 EVs
Senator Scott (I-CT) / Senator HPJ (I-IN) / 7 EVs

and just for the fun of it, here are a few more maps:

Republican primaries:

Goldwater
JCL

Democratic primaries:

TNF
Scott

Election without HPJ scandals:

Governor Goldwater (R-WA) / Governor JCL (R-IN) - 181 EVs
Senator Scott (I-CT) / Senator HPJ (I-IN) / 180 EVs
Governor TNF (D-KY) / Senator Antonio (D-CA) - 177 EVs
