So yeah, while there are racial/class

to Obama bleeding the "working-class white" vote in places like West Virginia, there's also genuine economic grievances in this segment of the population.

PS: "COALition for Romney" is a laughably bad name.

Considering that any effective action on greenhouse gases would severely impact coal mining, it is not surprising they'd be opposed to Obama.

The last few years have been awful for coal. Fracking has collapsed the price for natural gas and, as a result, coal is no longer the cheapest fossil fuel for generating electricity. Which, of course, is Obama's fault. The man was never going to win big coal states like WV, KY, and WY. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
