Well midnight in the Bad Place would be noon here, so I'd probably still be asleep.  Or just waking up rushing to have lunch before class, so I wouldn't have time to think about it much.

*I would wonder the same thing if Obama won by just one state

I already escaped many years ago to Thailand.  Anybody still in the US deserves all that they get.

Prepare for four years of horribly run, corrupt, at times actively malicious Executive power, I guess. I don't know how I'd really do that, emotionally speaking.

Wait for him to completely fail as he would be sure to do.

Just wait until 2016, when the Republican coalition collapses again.

Would be more than ecstatic, would gloat, etc.

Also, to anyone saying "I hope he fails," that's kind of stupid, isn't it? To hope that we as a nation get worse just to get your party elected again? I hoped Obama would do great when he was elected. I hoped Tom Corbett would be a good Governor when he was elected, though I fervently campaigned against him. Shouldn't you at least hope things get better?

I don't think that wanting your political opponents to fail is necessarily 'stupid' or unpatriotic or anything like that, whether it's Democrats saying it or Rush Limbaugh saying it.  For instance, Mitt Romney wants to pursue things as president which I do not support, so it is only logical for me to hope that he is unsuccessful in achieving those things because I think the nation would be better off as a result.  "Hoping things get better" and standing by your president ought to be completely separate objectives.

On second thought, I'd be immensely interested to see what happens the first time Romney lets his pathological liar flag fly with a foreign leader or potentate of some kind.

I would certainly hope Romney and Ryan would fail in that I'd hope that they were not able to implement the policies that they would want to implement, because the policies that they would want to implement would make America into a harsher, nastier place.

I would hope that Mitt Romney is a big fat liar and that in his heart he still is that moderate Massachusetts technocrat, and that is how he will govern. I would have voted for that guy if he actually ran.

His plans won't work, we'll fall back in recession, and then Hillary will come in and clean up the mess in 2016. Romney's only hope is if the Senate stays Democrat or the House becomes Democratic. That way he'll have to stay pretty centrist like he was in Massachusetts. But if he wins, I predict he gets it all and then he will fail.

I'd be paying attention to his flip-flops.

Or if the Ryan budget becomes reality.....run away...

Try to help my Pennsylvanian friends get that scumbag Corbett out in 2014, and then either Hillary 2016 or Schweitzer 2016. Romney has massive failure written all over him.

We welcome your help. Corbett's been a disaster to Pennsylvania... and I don't like he is getting a free pass from the media on the Jerry Sandusky stuff.

Go to bed. Just as I did on November 8, 2000 at about 2:10 AM when Bush was called the winner.
