Election 1948

Thomas Dewey (R-NY)/Earl Warren (R-CA): 271 Electoral Votes: 47.3% of the popular vote
Harry S. Truman (D-MO)/Alben W. Barkley (D-KY): 221 Electoral Votes: 47.6% of the popular vote
Strom Thurmond (S-SC)/Fielding Wright (S-MS): 39 Electoral Votes: 2.6% of the popular vote
Henry Wallace (P-IA)/Glen Taylor (P-ID): 0 Electoral Votes: 4.4% of the popular vote

Truman puts a brave face on in a speech to his supporters after conceding

I look forward to seeing how Dewey handles China turning red and the Korean debacle.
