I tend to think we don't really need to worry about "zombies" the way we did back in the day. Fritz not being able to vote, for instance, is just silly, as these laws were created to prevent newbies and nobodies (no offense to anyone) who signed up before an election and barely posted afterward until the next election, but we don't really seem much at risk for that these days.

And frankly, I think we could use the increased involvement of lower activity restrictions for the average voter anyway. The constant confusion of what exactly the requirements are, virtually every election, needs to be cleared up once and for all, and thus, this bill.

Yes, those times are gone. These laws are more or less useless, though maybe they will make a comeback in the future. For the time being, I support this.

Yea, it is probably time to move away from these policies. I am surprised, we haven't had wave of such people. Perhaps the more restrictive moderation system is serving to clense the forum before they can get a chance to make an impact here.
