I get everyone on the list...except for Rodgers. What she doin' here?

Also is sticking the divisive/unpopular partisans (Scott, Priebus, Paul and to a lesser extent Boehner) in the early timeslots a common thing?

Nowadays, the broadcast networks only cover the last hour of primetime for each night of the conventions, so only the last few names on this list will have any reasonably sized audience.  The person who'll be considered the main featured speaker for Monday night will be Ann Romney, and the wording on their press release reflects that.

I'm guessing that "musical act" is a placeholder so that they can time that one hour of primetime coverage to begin will Haley, and then Huckabee, then Mrs. Fortuno giving a short introduction to Ann Romney or something, with Ann's speech ending just at the end of the network coverage for the night.

The video listed is apparently a skit with Trump 'firing' an Obama impersonator

not a joke: http://www.mediaite.com/online/does-donald-trumps-big-surprise-for-the-rnc-involve-an-obama-impersonator-pic/

But it's so awkward when people are introduced. Look at Romney's RNC 2008 intro.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plpp&v=AI3lbdJtROg

Democrats always have music playing when we introduce our speakers. Obama had the best intro, then Clinton, then Gore.
Obama- http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q-EfaEjvP4
Clinton- http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q-EfaEjvP4
Gore- http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dYdV1wszqhM

The Democratic Convention is a party, the Republican Convention is an awkward reunion with estranged family members.

I'm going to try to watch Martinez's speech using 3G in the middle of Killbear Provincial Park. Here's hoping it'll work. Are these things usually streamed live online?

They couldn't even get the good Fauxobama. I guess throwing him off the stage at last year's leadership conference wasn't the best idea.

That's a lot of governors on Tuesday.  And such a diverse crowd for prime time, which I assume will start around Jindal?

Ron Paul should get a slot due his name being considered, right?

Looks like Rick could be on just before or after 8. Hoping for the latter!

It would be kind of odd if Santorum got a slot and Paul didn't, given that Paul was the runner-up.

If your name is placed in consideration, you get a 15 minute speaking slot on why you should be the nominee. Santorum and Paul should be able to make these speeches.

The Republican Convention sounds like a more impressive gathering than the Democratic one, though perhaps I'm biased. And how come I've never even heard of Sher Valenzuela, candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Delaware? Is she expected to win?
